Swedish car maker, Volvo Corporations’ subsidiary, Volvo Cars India, on Wednesday announced its entry into the Indian market through the launch of its sedan S80 and a sport-utility vehicle XC90 next month. Both the models will be available in petrol variant with 3.2 litre and 4.4 litre engine or 2.5 litre engine in the diesel variants through the company’s dealership, one each in Delhi, Mumbai and Chandigarh, said the company in a statement issued here. Volvo Cars, which would be importing both the models as completely built units, has priced the petrol variant of its S80 between Rs 39-40.7 lakh. Its diesel variant would cost in the range of Rs 38-39.6 lakh. The XC90’s petrol variant is priced between 46-48 lakh, whereas the diesel version between Rs 45-47 lakh for the three cities.
